Africa Zamalek Young Goalkeeper Mohamed Sobhi On Loan Move To Ittihad

Zamalek have announced the departure of young goalkeeper, Mohamed Sobhi. The goalkeeper is set for a move to Ittihad of Alexandria on loan.

Sobhi was left-out of Jaime Pacheco’s domestic squad for the coming season. The 21-year-old needs a lot of regular playing time. Something the Portuguese manager could not guarantee for him.

Therefore, he has to sign a loan at Alexandria giants on a one-year loan deal. And this transfer will cost Ittihad a total of EGP2 million. It is the Whites announced on their official website.

Since signing for Zamalek back in summer 2019 from Petrojet, Sobhi mainly appeared for their U-23s, making just two official appearances for the first team.

Sobhi is mostly remembered by Egyptian football fans for his heroics during the 2019 U-23 AFCON. As he helped the Pharaohs to continental success and won the Golden Glove award.

Ittihad have now made eight different signings after deals for Al Ahly trio Hossam Ashour, Amar Hamdi, and Karim Yehia. As well as Zamalek’s Razack Cisse, Karim Mamdouh, and Abdelsamia Ibrahim.
