Mamelodi Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi said his side needs to keep the dominance in CAF Champions league as they are closed to entering the group stages.

Brazilians beat Jwaneng Galaxy 2-0 in the first leg of their of their two games against the Botswana side.

As they are confident to break through the group stages, Mngqithi said his mens have to be focused on extending the dominance of the Chloorkop side.

“That’s a tricky one because we will not be with the players during this Christmas break. We will give them a few days off, and we have a game on January 2 against Pirates. Then on the 5th we are playing (Galaxy) again,” Mngqithi told the media.

“We know it’s not going to be an easy one for us, because it will depend on how people party. But I am optimistic that we will come right, and our boys understand the value of getting into the group stages, that’s what we always play for. It is more than important for us to have the dominance in the Champions League.” he added.
