Africa Soccer ESWATINI : CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH FOR YOUNG BUFFALOES FC

Eswatini’s Young Buffaloes FC players have all tested negative for Covid-19 following their return trip from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Buffaloes went to Congo for the CAF Champions League second round, second leg qualifying match.

They lost the match 4-1 to AS Vita to bow out 6-3 on aggregate over two legs.

The match took place at the Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasa last Wednesday.

A source told Swazi Observer newspaper that the players were tested a few days after their return from Congo.

Buffaloes Chief Executive Officer Sandile Gwebu is reported to have confirmed that the players tested negative for Covid-19.

All our players have been cleared for the virus and we have shifted our focus to the next match in the Confederation Cup,” he told the newspaper.

Buffaloes are preparing for the CAF Confederation Cup play-offs against Etoile Du Sahel from Tunisia next month.
