Africa Soccer EGYPT : AL AHLY EXTEND CONTRACTS OF SHERIF AND LOTFY

Egyptian giants have extended contract of their established players Mohamed Sherif and Ali Lotfy.

Al Ahly announced on their website that they had secured the duo’s contract extensions.

“Amir Tawfik, Al Ahly Director of Marketing and Transfers, announced on Tuesday that the team’s striker, Mohamed Sherif, and the team’s goalkeeper, Ali Lotfy, extended their contracts with the club. 

“Sherif has signed a two-year contract extension which will keep him at the club for the next four years. 

“On a similar note, Lotfy has signed a three-year contract extension which will keep him at the club for the next five years,” the website reports.

Al Ahly are on a mission to defend their treble having won the CAF Champions League, Egyptian Cup and Egyptian League championship under the stewardship of South African Pitso Mosimane.

Additionally, the champions are set to play in FIFA Club World Cup on February 4 2021 when they take on Qatari champions Al Duhail SC. 

The competition’s draw took place on Tuesday at the FIFA headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland.  Al Ahly will participate in the competition for the sixth time, to be the second most participated team in the competition’s history.
