Egypt Al Ahly Ex-Head Coach Believes It Illogical Comparing Him To Pitso Mosimane

Al Ahly have now recorded their third draw of the season after dropping points Wadi Degla and newly-promoted Bank Al Ahly. As they played out yet another goalless draw in the Egyptian Premier League this season against Pyramids on Tuesday.

The draw against Pyramids was their final league game before they kick-off the FIFA Club World Cup. The Reds Devils’ opening game will take place against Al Duhail next Thursday.

Al Ahly had previously played in the 2005, 2006, and 2008 editions of the FIFA Club World. It was under their legendary manager Manuel Jose.

Jose had guided Al Ahly to a third place in the 2006 Club World Cup after winning against Auckland City in their opening game and Club America in the third-place decider.

Speaking about Al Ahly’s upcoming FIFA Club World Cup campaign, Jose talked about their chances against Al Duhail. And he also compared between the past and current generations at the club.

Playing against Al Duhail is a great opportunity for Al Ahly. And I think that the team can win the match and advance to the next round.” Jose told ON Time Sports.

I talked before about the comparison between the past and current generations. I only know three or four players from the current generation.

“But I believe my team was better than the current one.

“I do not know Pitso Mosimane to judge him and the team’s performances. And the comparison between me and him is illogical.” He added.
