Nigeria KAA Gent Completes Signing Of Flying Eagles Duo

 
 
 
Belgian club KAA Gent have completed the signing of Flying Eagles duo Emeka Chinonso  and Adewale Oladoye.
 
Both players who were on trial with the club impressed in some friendly games with the first team which prompted the club to sign them.
 
Chinonso and Oladoye who have already resumed training with Gent senior team will clock 20 year by August and September respectively.
 
Chinonso who plays as centre forward was part of the 2019 FIFA World Cup U-20 squad in Poland.
 
Adewale is a defensive midfielder who featured for the Flying Eagles at U-20 the AFCON qualifiers last year.
 
Gent confirmed the signing of the duo via a statement on its official website adding that both players will mature with the reserve team 
 

KAA Gent has given Adewale Oladoye and Chinonso Emeka their first professional contract.

“Both youngsters, born in 2001, were trained by the Nigerian Academy Water FC, where they were noticed by ex-Buffalo Egu Augustine and Marc Clarysse.

“Adewale Oladoye (August 25, 2001 – pictured right) is a powerful defensive midfielder. Chinonso Emeka (August 30, 2001) is a big, fast striker.

“They will have the opportunity to mature with the reserves team, and now and then already train with the first team.”

They are now the latest Nigerian players to play for the Belgian side after Augustine Eguavoen, Moses Simon and Kalu Uxhe who had in the past adorned the blue jersey.
