Pitso Mosimane Has been sensed to take over after SAFA sacked Molefi Ntseki at the head of Bafana Bafana. And Al Ahly coach appears to have made his ‘final’ decision on the possibility of making a return to the Bafana Bafana hot seat.
According to a TimesLIVE source close to Mosimane, the Al Ahly boss ‘hasn’t been contacted’ by the South African Football Association (SAFA).
Furthermore, the source claims the Kagiso-born coach would never consider taking the Bafana Bafana coaching job even if he were to be asked to come back.
“And he would never do it [take the job].” Said the source.
The publication further reports that Mosimane’s ambitions are bigger than the Bafana Bafana coaching job. The source furthermore added that the coach would consider moving somewhere in the Middle East should Al Ahly decide to terminate his contract for whatever reason in the future.
“It would be the same thing as asking Percy Tau to come and play for Kaizer Chiefs.
“Once you go to Belgium or wherever‚ then you will come back to hang your boots here [in SA].” Concluded the source.
The latest reports come a day after it emerged that Mosimane is earmarked for the coaching role with the Egyptian national team, who, through the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) have presented an offer to Al Ahly for the coach’s services.
According to the Egyptian media, Mosimane will coach both Al Ahly and the Pharaohs provided he agrees to take over from current coach Hossam El-Badry.
