Bayern de Munich Lewandowski. Dedicates Goal Against Augsburg To His Mum

Robert Lewandowski dedicated his goal against Augsburg on the last day of the 2020/2021 Bundesliga to his mother who is celebrating her birthday today.
Lewandowski wrapped up the 2020/2021 Bundesliga season by breaking Gerd Muller’s record.
The striker took his time to find the net but finally got his goal in the last minute of regular time, Gikiewicz parrying a Sané shot and Lewandowski tapping in.
The Poland striker scored his 41st goal this campaign with the final whistle imminent, setting a new Bundesliga record.
Speaking in a post- match interview, Lewandoski said it is difficult to express his emotion.
“I want to dedicate this goal to my mother, it’s her birthday today and also to Hansi Flick and member of the staff because they did an amazing job.
” We work together, amazing performance since Hansi Flicks is here that was something special.
“I am very happy and my emotion is very high.
Asked if he had ever dreamt breaking Muller’s record while growing he said;
I have never thought of breaking the record before because Muller has scored 40 goals and I felt it is something impossible to achieve in 34 games.
“We have 34 games and I played 29 games which was the reason I never thought of it.”
Bayer 2-1 victory against Augsburg  means they finish on 78 points, 13 clear of runners-up RB Leipzig.
