Nigeria Premier League NPFL: Rivers United Head Coach Finally Regains Freedom

Nigeria Professional Football League(NPFL) side Rivers United  confirmed that their head coach, Stanley Eguma has regained freedom.

Eguma was kidnapped by unknown gunmen along Enugu road and after spending four days in their custody was released.

Club General Manager Chief Okey Kpalukwu confirmed the good tiding to journalists on Monday.

Eguma and two of his assistant were on their way back home after their NPFL game against Adamawa Unit3d in Yola when they were kidnapped.

Kpalukwu however, did not told journalists if a ransom was paid or the coach and his assistant were released without any price.

Following his kidnap, the Enugu State Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Aliyu ordered that no stone should be left unturned in the already launched full-scale investigation to rescue him.
