Nigeria NFF Orders IfeanyiUbah, MFM Matchday 20 Game To Be Played

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) disciplinary committee has ordered the NPFL game between FC IfeanyiUbah and MFM FC to played.
MFM were awarded three points and three goals against FC IfeanyiUbah in Matchday 20 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after the latter failed to show up for the game.
FC IfeanyiUbah appealed the decision and their prayer was answered.
The NFF disciplinary committee in a statement ordered the game to be played with FC IfeanyiUbah FC to pay the financial expenses to MFM FC and match officials.

The statement from the NFF disciplinary committee read as follows;
“The match between FC Ifeanyi Ubah Vs. MFM FC is hereby ordered to be played at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu on a date to be determined by the LMC.
“FC Ifeanyiubah is hereby ordered to pay the match officials indemnities and the cost of organising the aborted fixture to be determined by LMC.
“FC Ifeanyi Ubah is hereby ordered to pay the financial expenses of MFM FC in the sum of N2m.”
On the game between Remo Stars and Bendel Insurance which saw fans and officials of the Remo Stars assault and injured Bendel insurance players, the disciplinary committee ruled as follows;
“Remo Stars is hereby fined the sum of N500,000, for breaches of the COVID-19 Protocol and the discontinuation of the match due to encroachment by their supporters, who were present at the stadium in breach of the COVID-19 Protocol.
“Taking cognizance of the conduct of Remo Stars officials & supporters being responsible for the encroachment and discontinuation of the match, an order that the match which was discontinued at 0:0 shall count as a complete fixture, with the 0-0 as the final scoreline.”
