Espérance Sportive de Tunis Iwuala Joins Tunisia Champions Esperance From Enyimba

Enyimba FC winger Anayo Iwuala has completed his move from the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL side to Tunisia Ligue 1 champions Esperance.

Anayo was pivotal for Enyimba as they finished third in the just concluded 2020/2021 NPFL season.

The winger who have made four appearances for the Super Eagles including captaining the home based team against Mexico in June was on the radar of clubs in Europe also.

The 22-year old passed his medical before he signed the dotted lines and was unveiled by Esperance.

The club confirmed the signing via their Twitter handle

“Anayo Iwuala is officially an Esperance player!,” reads a tweet on the club’s official Twitter handle.

AfricaTopSports gathered that be will be paid $45,000 as a monthly salary as his former club, Enyimba also got $500,000 from the deal.

The winger now joined the league of Nigerian players such as Julius Aghahowa, Edith Agoye, Emem Eduok and Junior Lokosa who have also played for the club.
