Africa Soccer Ghana FA launches Division One League Super Cup

Ghana Football Association announced on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 the creation of a new competition called Division One League Super Cup.

The fresh competition will gather eight clubs which will compete in this mini tournament will is set to kick off in September 2021.

The 8 clubs which will participate include the Ghana Premier League newcomers Real Tamale United, Bibiani Gold Stars and Accra Lions as well well as three other second best-placed clubs and two other best three.

“The tournament will serve as a preparatory ground for the clubs ahead of 2021/22 season which will commence in October, 2021”, GFA wrote.

The Mini tournament aims to give additional incentive to clubs and players ahead of the new season and will be played at Ghanaman Centre of Excellence at Prampram.

Below are the clubs which will take part in the novel tournament :

1-Real Tamale United
2-Bibiani Gold Stars
3-Accra Lions
4-Tano Bofoakwa
5-Skyy FC
6-Tema Youth
7-Berekum Arsenals
8-FC Samartex 1996
