Premier League Tottenham stun title holders Man City in Premier League opener

Tottenham Hotspurs defeated Premier League defending champions Manchester City in their first game of the 2021/22 season on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs did it even without their talisman Harry Kane who expressed his desire to leave the club as he eyes his first ever career trophy.

However, his absence didn’t diminish Tottenham’s plans as they managed to beat Pep Guardiola’s men thanks to a wonderful goal of Heung-min Son.

Man City have lined up a team that costed €615m including new signing Jack Grealish who did did not have the impact fans expected he could have had on that match.

City will have to stand up quickly and look for solutions ahead of the matchday 2 against Norwhich City next Saturday.

Meantime, Nuno Esperito Santo will reunite with his former club Wolverhampton as Tottenham will be in an away trip to face off with Wolves.
