Nigerian forward Nwankwo Simy is about to complete a move to Salernitana from Crotone. And the striker is expected to carry out his medical with his new club today.
The 29-year-old impressed big time in Serie A last term, scoring 20 goals in 38 games. But he couldn’t prevent Crotone from being relegated to the second tier. And the former Nigeria international seems set for an immediate return to the top flight while his contract with Crotone expires already in June 2022.
The former Portimonense and Gil Vicente striker, who arrived at Crotone from the former in July 2016, is expected to complete a move to newly promoted Salernitana ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.
He will reportedly move on loan with an obligation to buy for €6m including various bonuses.
According to the broadcaster, the centre-forward who has scored 66 goals in 159 games with the Rossoblu, will arrive for his medical today. And he will then sign a deal with the Granata.
