Egypt Al Ahly Head Coach Expresses Support To Egypt’s Newly Appointed Manager

EFA sacked Hossam El-Badry as the Pharaoh’s head coach following the team’s 1-1 draw with Gabon in World Cup qualifiers.

Despite not losing a single game, the former Al Ahly boss has been heavily criticized for the team’s underwhelming performances and squad selections.

Therefore, the Egyptian Football Association has decided to dismiss him from his role. And EFA instead appoint Portuguese head coach Carlos Queiroz just 48 hours later.

The experienced manager comes at a very crucial time for the Egypt national team’s World Cup qualifying journey as his first challenge will be against Libya in a double-encounter next October that might determine the Pharaohs’ fate in the 2022 World Cup.

Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane made sure to give the former Real Madrid coach some words of encouragement in a Twitter post ahead of his new challenge.
