The Eagles of Mali cruised Kenya’s Harambee Stars (5-0) on matchday 3 of the World Cup qualifiers on Thursday evening with Ibrahima Kone scoring three goals.

Mohamed Magassouba’s men controlled the game for the start to the end. Adama Traoré scored the opener for the Eagles just after seven minutes of play.

Then, Ibrahima Kone went on scoring his three goals respectively in the 22nd, 36th and 45th minutes.

Harambee Stars were completely overwhelmed by the events and conceded a fifth five minutes prior to the full-time (85th) with Moussa Doumbia writing his name on the scoresheet.

Courtesy of the strong victory, Mali go on top of Group E with 7 points.

Eagles will face the opponent on Sunday but this time in an away game.
