Africa Soccer Pitso Mosimane And Mohamed Salah In IFFHS Men’s CAF Team Of The Year

The International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) has released its verdict over Men’s CAF Team of the Year for 2021. And it has included Egypt and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah alongside Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane.

Salah has been in remarkable form since the start of the season with Liverpool, scoring 22 goals with eight assists in 24 appearances across all competitions.

However, despite his achievements in the last year, Salah only finished seventh in the Ballon d’Or voting. And the Egyptian king also failed to make the shortlist for the 2021 FIFPRO World 11.

Salah did manage to win the Golden Foot award and was named Men’s Best Player in the IFFHS CAF awards for 2021.

He also made the starting XI for IFFHS Men’s CAF Team of the Year for 2021 alongside the likes of Liverpool team-mate Sadio Mane, Riyad Mahrez of Manchester City, Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly and Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

Meanwhile, Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane also made the “team”.

Under Mosimane’s guidance, Al Ahly have won six awards in just over a year.
