AFCON AFCON: Super Eagles Camp Comes Alive As Ndah, Noble Awoniyi Arrive Camp

Super Eagles camp for the 2022 African Nations Cup AFCON came alive on Wednesday following the arrivals of some players.

The team will camp in Abuja for few days before their will travel m to Garoua , Cameroon for their final preparation on January 5.

Orlando Pirates defender Olisa Ndah wad the first player to arrive camp before he was joined by Union Berlin striker Taiwo Awoniyi and Enyimba goalkeeper John Noble.

The NFF in a statement confirmed the opening of the camp on Wednesday night in a statement on it’s social media.

Our AFCON 2021 Camp opens officially today in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. We are good to go! #SoarSuperEagles #Team9jaStrong

More players are expected to arrive camp on Thursday especially those that will not be in action for their clubs this weekend.

However, players from Europe are expected to start arriving from January 3.

In another development, the NFF has asked that a friendly match be scheduled for the Super Eagles in preparation for the African Cup of Nations AFCON.

The Eagles are in Group D with former AFCON winners Egypt, Sudan and Guinea-Bissau.

They will kick-off the tournament on January 11 against Egypt.
