AFCON AFCON: Okoye Arrives Super Eagles Camp As Number Of Players Swells To 13

Sparta Rotterdam goalkeeper Maduka Okoye arrival has taken the number of Super Eagles players in Abuja camp to 13 ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations AFCON 2021.

Okoye joined three other goalkeepers; Francis Uzoho, Daniel Akpeyi and John Noble who are already in camp to complete the goalkeeper invited for tournament.

The Super Eagles goalkeeper who will be joining Premier League club, Watford after the AFCON is expected to retain his position as number 1, however, he have Uzoho, Akpeyi and Noble to contend against.

In another development, players already in camp had a training session on Sunday at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.

More players are being expected on Monday after their involvement for their clubs.

Super Eagles are expected to depart for Garoua, Cameroon on Wednesday to continue preparation for the AFCON.
