Edouard Mendy received an warm ovation as he joined his Chelsea teammates ahead of Wednesday FIFA Club World Cup semi-final against Al Hilal.

Mendy who helped Senegal to lift its first ever Africa Cup of Nations title on Sunday joined the club on Tuesday.

The Chelsea shot stopper was voted as the 2021 AFCON Best goalkeeper of the tournament to add to his FIFA The Best award he earlier won.

Chelsea will take on Al Hilal in the Semi-final of the Club World Cup.

The silverware is the only one left out in Chelsea cabinet.
