Nigeria NWFL Premiership Week 7: Action Returns After Mid-Season Break

Action return in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership on Wednesday across various venues in the country.

Wednesday week 7 games will be the first games after the mid-week break as clubs were also involved in the transfer market.

While some players will be making their debut in their new home, others will be hoping to help their club get to winning ways.

At the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Dominance Odubanjo will be hoping to make her debut for Delta Queens when they host Abia Angels.

Dominance left the Pearls for Rivers United after the Super Six at Ijebu Ode, she later started the 2021-2022 season with Sunshine Queens.

She rejoined Delta Queens during the mid season break and will be instrumental for coach Dan Evumena who is targeting a Super Six place in his first season in charge of the team.

Also expected to make her debut is former Confluence Queens top-scorer Mercy Omokwo has left Lokoja to team up with Delta Queens.

Delta Queens will be hoping to return to winning ways after they picked a point against Wednesday opponent, Abia Angels.

In other games scheduled for Week 7, Nasarawa Amazons will be hoping to hold on to their top position in Group A before the league went on break.

Amazons will play away from home against Confluence Queens.

In Group B, reigning champions, Rivers Angels top position will be at stake when they travel to Ondo State to play Sunshine Queens.

Rivers Angels currently top the group with 13 points from 6 a games, losing just one games.
