Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is reportedly open to joining Spanish giants FC Barcelona this summer transfer window. The Egypt winger and his agent have been in negotiations with Liverpool for a new contract for several months now. Both sides however are yet to reach an agreement.

Despite being the team’s biggest star, guiding them to several trophies and breaking records left and right along the way, the Reds are reportedly refusing his financial demands. Salah is reportedly asking for a sum around £400,000 and £500,000 in weekly wages.

Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that Salah has no intentions of accepting Liverpool’s current conditions. While the Egyptian’s priority is stay in Anfield, negotiations between both parties have stalled since December.

According to Spanish news outlet Sport, Salah is now open to a move to Barcelona this summer. And the Catalan side believe they can afford his demands.

Given that his contracts expires in 2023, Barcelona believe they can lure the forward this summer, despite more financially stable clubs showing interest such as Paris Saint-Germain.

The Blaugrana reportedly believe a €70 million deal will be a reasonable cost. And Salah’s wages would be affordable over a long-term contract. However, Barcelona are yet to take an official step.
