African players abroad Jurgen Klopp speaks about Mohamed Salah’s durability

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has spoken about Mohamed Salah’s consistent performances for the Premier League team.

The German spoke about Salah’s durability ahead of Wednesday’s afternoon league game against in-form Arsenal at Emirates Stadium.

Klopp was reacting to the fact that the Egyptian rarely misses Liverpool games.

But he’s very professional and very desperate to play each game. So, when you ask him [about] the nine games and maybe I left him out once or twice so he didn’t start the game, so these things are really hard for him. He tries to be on the pitch in training and in games if somehow possible,” the coach told Liverpool website.

Salah has played in 171 games out of the possible 180 matches for Liverpool since joining the team from AS Roma.

Liverpool can slice leaders Manchester City’s four point lead to just one point if they beat Arsenal today.

Liverpool need to win all their remaining games, including against City, to win the league title.

City can retain the league title if they win the rest of their remaining games and either hold or beat Liverpool.
