Africa Soccer Nigeria vs Ghana : ‘Super Eagles will win at home’, NFF boss Amaju Pinnick says

Amaju Pinnick

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) boss Amaju Pinnick said he is convinced Super Eagles will knock out Black Stars from 2022 World Cup in Qatar ahead of the Nigeria vs Ghana playoff return leg in Abuja on Tuesday.

After the goalless draw in Kumasi last week at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Ghana and Nigeria will meet again this week to know who makes it through to the World Cup later this year.

Even though Super Eagles didn’t get much goal scoring chances in Ghana, NFF boss Amaju Pinnick believes they can score and see off Ghana at home.

“I think Ghana managed to have a draw not Nigeria. And I think we had a good chance of winning the game even though we’ve drawn , both sides played very well”, Pinnick said on Akoma 87.9 FM.

I really thought that we could have won the game.

“I know we should and will win convincingly at home. Our team is the better but we were unfortunate today.”

The Nigeria vs Ghana clash will start at 17:00 GMT on Tuesday in a full-packed Moshood Abiola National Stadium as 60,000 fans will be allowed to watch the game.
