Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has revealed his half-time pep-talk in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal second leg game against Atletico Madrid in Spain on Wednesday evening.

Guardiola told City website that he forewarned his players to expect the worst in the second half.

The Premier League champions endured a frustrating second half and held on to force a 0-0 draw.

 “I didn’t expect anything else,” he said. “We talked about it at half, ‘get ready for the worst.”

City sailed through to date Real Madrid in the semifinal courtesy of the first leg 1-0 win.

Guardiola said his players were exhausted having also faced Liverpool on Sunday in a top of the table Premier League clash.

The former Bayern Munich and Barcelona boss is bidding to become the first manager to earn City the Champions League trophy.
