Nigeria Super Falcons cruised into a comfortable 3-0 lead against Burundi in the first half of the WAFCON 2022 Group C game.

Rasheedat Ajibade gave the Super Falcons the lead in the 25th minute from the spot before Peace Efih doubled the lead in the 28th.

One minute later, Uchenna Kanu found her name on the scoresheet in a game totally dominated by the Super Falcons.

Kanu would have made it 4-0 but the flag was raised for offside after Blessing Onumonu interfered with the play.

Indeed they remain on course for the 10th WAFCON title as the second half will be a matter of how many more goals they will score against the debutante, Burundi side who are now set to exit the tournament without a single win
