Africa Soccer Trigger-happy South African club hires new coach

Trigger-happy South Africa top-flight club Chippa United have hired former Orlando Pirates midfielder Diane Klate as new coach.

The Port Elizabeth-based club confirmed that Klate has been appointed for the 2022-23 season.

He has taken over the reigns for interim coach Kurt Lentjies who Chippa management placed on special leave while conducting interview for the new mentor.

Chippa are notorious for firing coaches they last November parted ways with highly rated Gavin Hunt.

Somehow Chippa never get relegated despite changing even three coaches within a season.
