Nigeria Ghana Jose Peseiro

Nigeria head coach Jose Peseiro says Super Eagles are better than Ghana Black Stars when asked about the three-time AFCON winning country’s loss to Otto Addo’s team in the World Cup play-offs.

Nigeria and Ghana are rivals for many years now with both country’s people trolling each other on social media.

The fate has decided both nations will face each other in order to determine who makes it to the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

And the Black Stars secured the ticket at the expense of Super Eagles thanks to their hard-fought 1-1 draw in Abuja after the goalless draw in the first leg in Kumasi.

So far, Ghanaians have been mocking Nigerians saying they’ll watch them play on TV in November-December this year.

However, Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro relaunched the rivalry between the two countries saying the World Cup play-offs outcome was an accident as Nigeria are better than Ghana.

“I have a team with players who play in England, Italy, France, Spain, but unfortunately they didn’t beat Ghana to go to the World Cup,” Peseiro said in an interview, as per KemiFilani.

“But I think it was an accident, I think Nigeria are better than Ghana,” he added.
