Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo is finally back to Manchester United to hold talks with the Premier League side over his future as he is looking for a new club.

Ronaldo is back. Not to join the Red Devils in their pre-season camp but to engage negotiations with the club’s hierarchy concerning his future which is cloudy at Old Trafford.

According to the The Athletic, the 37-year old has arrived in Manchester on Monday and will discuss with club officials.

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag who never hide his desire to keep the five-time ballon d’or winner will also have talks with him.

The Dutch manager wants to change Cristiano Ronaldo’s mind as he intends to keep him in this team for next season.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored 24 goals during his first season back to Man United.

However, the Red Devils failed to secure Champions League ticket for next season, a competition the Portuguese star wants to play before going to what could be his last World Cup with the Seleçao.

So far, Ronaldo has been rejected by Chelsea, PSG, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid and recently Atletico Madrid.

Meanwhile, his agent Jorge Mendes continues to explore possibilities on the market in order to find him a new home before the end of this summer transfer window despite Man United’s consistant ‘not for sale’ speech.

“He is not with us due to personal issues,” said Ten Hag earlier this month.

“We are planning with Cristiano Ronaldo for this season. That is it.

“I am looking forward to working with him. Cristiano is not for sale. He is in our plans. We want success together.”
