Barcelona forward Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang was reportedly victim of armed robbery in the early hours of Monday morning.

Aubameyang was said to have been beaten up with iron bars and firearms before being intimidated to open his personal safe, of which the jewels were reported stashed in.

Reports indicated that several armed men broke into the Gabonese star’s home and it is believed that Aubameyang was attacked in front of his partner as they escaped with jewels after gaining access to a safe.

It is unknown as to whether his two children were present at the time of the robbery.

The authorities were alerted shortly after the incident and they have been searching for the armed robbers who fled in an Audi A3.
