Europa League Europa League: Ten Hag To Unleash Ronald, Casemiro On Real Sociedad

Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag is set to hand Casemiro and Cristiano Ronaldo a starting line-up ahead of their Europa League game against Real Sociedad.

Since signing from Real Madrid, midfielder Casemiro has played three times as a substitute, while Ronaldo has started just one game so far this year.

Erik ten Hag, United’s manager, is planning to make adjustments for the Group E encounter because United is playing at Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Harry Maguire, the team’s captain, might also play against Spain.

On Wednesday, a question about Ten Hag’s efforts to keep each of his players satisfied was posed.

“Maybe I cannot keep them all happy every game but everyone gets their game-time if they perform well, it’s quite clear,” added the Dutchman.

“But what I say, we need everyone – we have a lot of games to cover.

“There is a lot coming in front of us, and the national teams of course – the World Cup – but also all of the cups in England.

“The Europa League where we are now getting in and, of course, the Premier League.”

In 2020–21, United eliminated Real Sociedad at the round of 32 stage of the Europa League.

Manchester United has won its last four games to move up to fifth in the Premier League.

Sociedad is now tenth in the standings after winning two of their first four La Liga games.
