CAF Champions League CAFCC: CAF Appoints Egyptian Referee For Rivers United Game

CAF has selected Egypt’s Mohamed Maarouf Eid Mansour to preside over Rivers United’s match against El Nasr Benghazi in the first leg of the CAF Confederation’s Cup additional playoff round at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.

Compatriots Mohamed Abouzid Halhal (Assistant I), Ahmed Hossam Eldin (Assistant II), and Mohamed Adel Elsaid Hussien will provide assistance to the 35-year-old (Fourth referee).

The game will take place on November 2nd, a Wednesday.

The match commissioner will be Prince Kai Saquee of Sierra Leone, the referee assessor will be Mendy John John Frank of Gambia, and the COVID-19 officer will be Ozi Salami Abdulrahim.

In a matchup that promises plenty of fireworks, Rivers United and El Nasr Benghazi will square off for the first time at the club level on Wednesday.

The matchup is part of the Total Energies CAF Confederation’s Cup additional playoff round.

The game is set to begin at 2 PM.
