Nigeria Premier League NPFL: Rangers Suffers Second Loss As Akwa United Share Spoils With Enyimba

The 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL entered Matchday 2 on Wednesday with four games in various venues.

Eight goals was scored in the four games as Enyimba failed to score at home against visiting Akwa United.

Wednesday’s Nigeria Premier Football League match between The People’s Elephant and Akwa United in Aba ended in a 0-0 tie.

Enyimba have won and drawn their first two games, maintaining their perfect record in Group A.

Abia Warriors defeated Bayelsa United 3-1 in Group B to make their winning streak two games long.

With a simple tap-in in the second minute, Kalu Nweke gave the hosts the lead.

On the 65th minute, Bello Lukman scored to give the hosts a double-digit lead after Henry Udezuka made an excellent pocket pass.

In his first two league games with the Abia Warriors this year, Lukman has already scored two goals.

Three minutes left in the game, Henry Udezuka added the third.

At the New Jos Stadium, Lobi Stars defeat Rangers 1-0 in a matchup of previous champions.

Eight minutes from the end, Joseph Atule scored the game-winning goal.

Dakkada defeated Wikki Tourists 2-1 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo thanks to a comeback.

On the second minute, Ismaila Mayaki gave Wikki Tourists the lead.

At the halfway point, Kufre Ebong tied the game for the home team, and Aniekan Ekpe scored the game-winning penalty kick in the 66th minute.
