The nightmare could be much more longer for Dani Alves after he has been accused of rape by a young lady of 23 in December last year.

According Spanish outlet El Mundo, Dani Alves risks between 8 and 10 years in prison if he is guilty of the charges against him, in particular “an offense of sexual assault with penetration, according to article 179 of the Penal Code” .

The former right-back of FC Barcelona is accused by a 23-year-old young woman who claims that the latter sexually assaulted her last December in a nightclub in Barcelona.

If the trial will take place earlier than expected this year, the Spanish justice recalls that “even the DNA analyzes which normally delay the proceedings for crimes of sexual violence have been carried out”.

What can complicate things for Dani Alves whose traces of sperm were found on the clothes of the young woman.
