
Azam FC have announced the acquisition of Feisal Salum from Tanzanian Premier League champions Young Africans (Yanga SC).
Salum have moved to the Chamazi-based outfit after agreeing to pen a three-year contract ahead of the new campaign.
“We are pleased to confirm Feisal Salum has joined our side on a three-year contract,” Azam confirmed on their social media pages, adding: “The winger, who also plays for the national team Taifa Stars, becomes the first signing for the club.”

Earlier on, Yanga confirmed on their social media pages they had reached an agreement with Azam for the services of the winger.
“Feisal will join his new club after personal terms agreement and when the transfer window opens,” read part of Yanga’s statement, adding: “The management of Yanga wishes him [Feisal] all the best in his new responsibilities.”
Speaking after sealing the move, Salum thanked President Samia Suluhu Hassan for her advice that led to the end of his contract saga with the club.
“I take this opportunity to thank President Samia for her advice to end this case and God should bless her,” said Salum while Azam Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Abdul Karim also thanked Yanga for accepting their offer to buy him, by stating: “We wish them [Yanga] all the best… football is about love and unity.”
Salum will feature for Azam in the Caf Confederation Cup next season.
