Al Ahly wins 2023 CAF Champions League following their 1-1 draw against Wydad Athletic Club on Sunday night in Casablanca.
The Red Devils won the first leg by 2-1 in Cairo with Percy Tau scoring in Egypt.
However, Wydad’s goal in the dying minutes of the first leg put them in danger.In the second leg tonight, Wydad took the advantage in Morocco with Yahya Attiat-Allah opening the scoring in the 27th minute.

Both sides were levels until 78th minute and Mohamed Abdelmonem’s goal which sealed Ahly their 11th CAF Champions League trophy as they by 3-2 on aggregate.
The Egyptian Premier League side finally tokk it revenge over Wydad after losing to the Moroccan outfit in 2017 and 2022 under South African gaffer Pitso Mosimane.
