FIFA WOMEN'S WORLD CUP SAFA To Present 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup Bid In Australia

South Africa Football Association SAFA President Dr. Danny Jordaan, will lead a high delegation team to Australia to present a strong bid to host the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The delegation is made up of SAFA CEO Lydia Monyepao, 2027 Bid Committee chair Tumi Dlamini, Bid Lead Russell Paul, and SAFA Women’s Head Romaney Pinnock, who will try to persuade a FIFA on why the country should be awarded the next Women’s World Cup hosting right.

Dr. Danny said, ‘’We are going to impress upon the delegates what hosting a Fifa Women’s World Cup event would do to the continent.

The contribution the World Cup would make to Africa is unbelievable,’’ said Dr Jordaan.

‘’We will put our case through, that this is Africa’s time and that we have all what it takes to host a very successful World Cup.

” We have done it before and we want to do it for the continent once more.”

South Africa is one of four candidates to host the 2027 Fifa Women’s World Cup, with Brazil, Mexico and the United States submitting joint bids, and Belgium, Netherlands, and Germany also vying for the honour the winner will be chosen by a vote of Fifa MAs at a Congress in Bangkok, Thailand.
