Ainsley Maitland-Niles’ contract with Arsenal expired in June, and Olympique Lyonnais announced on Monday that he has signed a four-year deal with them through 2027.
The 25-year-old will reunite with former teammate Alexandre Lacazette in France after more than 130 appearances in all competitions for his boyhood club Arsenal.
Prior to heading on loan to AS Roma and Southampton, Maitland-Niles had difficulty getting into games during the 2021–22 season with the Gunners.

In 2020, he made his England debut and appeared in five matches, but he hasn’t played for Gareth Southgate’s team since.
Lyon finished seventh in Ligue 1 last season.
