Transfers Done Deal: PSG confirm Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona

Paris Saint-Germain have announced the acquisition of Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona.

The Parisians announced his arrival in a statement: “Ousmane Dembele has joined Paris Saint-Germain from FC Barcelona. The world champion, who will wear number 23, has signed up for 5 seasons,” adding: “Born in Vernon (Eure) in May 1997, Ousmane Dembele joined the Stade Rennais training center in 2010. Five years later, he took his first steps as a professional in the jersey of the Breton club, during a meeting of Ligue 1 against Angers SCO. He will finish the 2015-2016 season with a total of 12 goals and five assists in 29 matches in all competitions.”

Speaking after being unveiled, Dembele said: “I am very happy to join Paris Saint-Germain and eager to play in my new colors,” adding: “I hope to continue to grow here and make all Club lovers proud.”

We are proud to have another French World Cup winner at PSG as we enter a new great era for our Club.”

Dembele transferred to Barcelona during the 2017 summer transfer window. In six seasons with the Blaugrana, he played 185 matches for 40 achievements and 43 offerings. In total, he won three Spanish champion titles (2018, 2019, and 2023), two Spanish Cups (2018 and 2021), and two Spanish Supercups (2018 and 2023).
