Saudi Arabia Ighalo In Action As Benzema’s Al-Ittihad Humbles Al-Wehda At Home

Odion Ighalo was in action for his Saudi Arabian club Al-Wehda who suffered a 3-0 loss at home to Karim Benzema’s Al-Ittihad on Monday night.

Ighalo who scored on his debut for Al-Wehda last week came in as substitute in the 69th minute after Al-Wehda trailed by two goals in a game that also saw Benzema substituted due to injury.

After a cagey first half saw both team failed to break the deadlock.

After the break, Nuno’s team did make a breakthrough as Kante set up Romarinho to score just beyond the hour mark.

Only a few minutes later, the league’s top team increased its lead when replacement Jota, who had just joined from Celtic despite last week’s rumours that he was heading for Saudi Arabia, scored.

They added another goal in the 73rd minute when Romarinho switched roles and assisted fellow Brazilian Coronado.

On Friday, Al-Ittihad will play home to Al-Hilal, who are currently second in the league standings and include Aleksandar Mitrovic, Ruben Neves, and Neymar in their playing roster.
