Moses Simon, a Super Eagles winger, was at the top of his form as Nantes defeated Lorient 5-3 on Saturday thanks to a goal and two assists from him.

The international player from Nigeria, who was making his sixth appearance, performed admirably for Nantes.

Eli Kroupi Jr. of Lorient gave the visitors the early advantage in the sixth minute, but Abline equalised for the home team in the 42nd minute with a Simon assist.

In the 46th minute, Comert made it 2-1 for Nantes, and in the 55th, Mohamed increased their advantage to 3-1. But in the 75th minute, Faivre scored to make it 3-2 before Mollet scored brilliantly to make it 4-2 with another assist from the Nigerian international.

Lorient’s Aiyegun scored to make the score 4-3, but Simon scored a penalty to effectively kill Lorient’s chances of making a comeback.

With eight points after the victory, Nantes moves up to sixth place, while Lorient drops to fourteenth place with six points.
