Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag said he will support Andre Onana as the Cameroonian goalkeeper is going through a difficult start to new life with the Red Devils.

The 27-year old is far from the one who helped Inter Milan to reachthe UEFA Champions league final last season.

With the three goals against Galatasaray tonight (2-3 loss), Onana has now conceded 7 goals in 2 Champions league games with Man United this season.

The stat is even more dramatic across all competitions as he only kept 3 clean sheets in 10 games and conceded 18 goals.

With the La Masia Academy graduate facing a backlash on social media, Man United manager Erik ten Hag came to his rescue and promised he will bounce back.

“I will encourage Onana, I will back him. I will support him”, the Dutchamn said in his post-match press conference.

“He’s a great goalkeeper and can be one of the best in the world”.

“We have seen already Onana’s great capabilities and also his personality. He will bounce back, I’m sure”.
