UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE UEL: Boniface Warns Teammate Not To Underrate Molde

Victor Boniface of the Super Eagles, a striker, has cautioned his squad not to underrate Molde before their UEFA Europa League matchup on Thursday.

In an interview with the club’s official website, the Nigerian international, who was the joint-top scorer in the UEFA Europa League last season with six goals, revealed this.

Molde are one of the top teams in the Norwegian league and they compete for the title year after year,” Boniface told the club’s official website.

“Molde were the reigning champions when I joined Bodø/Glim in 2019, and in the next two years when we won the league, Molde was the main competitor as runners-up.

“We definitely can’t afford to underestimate them also because they are at home.

“The artificial pitch there could be to their advantage. For us, there will be rather unusual playing conditions. ”

Boniface is well-versed on Erling Moe’s side due to his frequent encounters with them when in Norway with Bodo/Glimt.

Remember how Boniface received the number 22 and signed a contract with Bundesliga team Bayer Leverkusen on July 22, 2023, for a period ending June 30, 2028.

On August 19, he started his first Bundesliga match at home, a 3-2 triumph over RB Leipzig.

The next week, on August 26, he scored his first Bundesliga goals in a 3-0 away derby victory against Borussia Mönchengladbach at the Borussia Park.
