Nigeria Peseiro Calls Up Ebuehi, Sadiq For Saudi Arabia, Mozambique Friendly

Tyronne Ebuehi and Umar Sadiq will take the place of Taiwo Awoniyi and Ola Aina in advance of Nigeria’s international friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique.

Due to injuries, Awoniyi and Aina, who both represent Nottingham Forest in the English Premier League, will be absent from the friendly games.

In Saturday’s 0-0 away tie between Forest and Crystal Palace, neither player appeared.

Awoniyi’s groyne injury might keep him out for up to one month, according to their manager Steve Cooper, who made the announcement prior to kickoff at Selhurst Park.

While Aina has played five times in the English Premier League, Awoniyi has made seven league appearances and scored three goals.

The Super Eagles will play Mozambique on October 16 and Saudi Arabia on October 13, both matches taking place in Portugal.

Similarly, Chidozie Awazien has been invited to take the place of Jamilu Colins who have also been ruled out of the October friendly game in Portugal.
