Dstv Premiership Sundowns working very hard to retain PSL title – Nku

Dominant Mamelodi Sundowns are looking to continue with their winning ways in the DStv Premiership when they play host to Cape Town Spurs in a midweek thriller at Loftus Versfeld on Wednesday.

Masandawana continues to lead the table by a substantial margin and will look to extend the lead on Wednesday. Their counterparts are however at the bottom, with only one victory on their hands. This according to midfielder Lesiba Nku, is going to make the meeting a difficult one as the Cape Town-based side will also be looking to make it out of the danger zone.

“I think this encounter won’t be an easy one. Cape Town Spurs are fighting at the bottom while we are also working hard to win the league. We try extremely hard to win every game that we play, so it won’t be an easy game,” Nku said.

Regardless of the log standings, Nku said his side will not underestimate the opponent and will continue with the mentality to win every game. He said: “We take each game as it comes and we prepare with a winning mentality. We don’t check the log standings, we just play to win.”

Bafana Ba Style are coming from a loss against Pyramids over the weekend in the CAF Champions League. They now have shifted their focus back to the domestic league and will want to win the encounter before heading back to the Champions League.

“We are now going to play a league game and we must win. Preparations have been going well. We are also recovering well, considering that we are playing games every three days,” he concluded.
