Kenya Kenya U15 secure final spot for CAF African Schools tourney

The Kenya U15 girls’ team advanced to the finals of the CAF African Schools Football Championship CECAFA Qualifier following a good display in their group stage matches.

Team Kenya secured victories in three of their four group matches. During the tournament’s second day, the girls’ team took on Burundi and Uganda. In their first match against Burundi, they secured a 2-0 win, courtesy of a Linda Atieno goal and an own goal by Burundi’s Hasmina. However, their second match of the day ended in a narrow 1-0 defeat against Uganda.

Meanwhile, the Kenya U15 Boys started with a promising 2-0 victory against Somalia but faced a setback with a 2-1 loss to Uganda later on. In other matches, Uganda beat Tanzania 1-0 while Somalia drew both their matches against Burundi and Rwanda.

Looking ahead to day three, the girls’ team is set to clash with Uganda in the upcoming finals while the U15 boys play their last group stage match tomorrow against Burundi at 9 am at Kasarani Annex. The tournament ends on Wednesday, December 13, at Kasarani Stadium.
