Liverpool Injury Rock Liverpool As Szoboszlai Set To Miss Two Games

Dominik Szoboszlai will miss the minimum of the next two games for the Reds, according to Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp.

With a hamstring ailment, Szoboszlai was taken off the pitch in the second half of Liverpool’s New Year’s Day victory over Newcastle United at Anfield.

Additionally, Szoboszlai will be out of the Emirates FA Cup match against Arsenal on Sunday and the Carabao Cup semifinal first leg against Fulham on Wednesday.

I can confirm it’s not a potential injury – it is an injury. Muscle, hamstring. But now we have to see,” Klopp was quoted on liverpoolfc.com at his pre-Arsenal press conference.

“Dom is very positive, doesn’t have a lot of pain but we have to wait a little bit. So, no chance obviously for Sunday, not for Wednesday. No.

“And then we will see, after that hopefully he might be back but we don’t know.”

Ahead of the Reds’ trip to Emirates Stadium this weekend, the manager has not disclosed any new concerns regarding player fitness.

Besides that, nothing else really happened,” said Klopp.

“The rest were yesterday available and fully fit, so let’s hope that’s today the same and we will have to make a choice.”
