Transfers DONE DEAL: Radu Dragusin joins Tottenham from Genoa

Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Radu Dragusin from Genoa just days after landing former Chelsea player Timo Werner.

A club statement confirmed: “We are delighted to announce the signing of Radu Dragusin from Serie A side Genoa, subject to international clearance and a work permit.”

The Romania international signed a contract with the Premier League outfit which will run until 2030 and will wear the number six shirt.

Born in the Romanian capital of Bucharest, the central defender spent his early years with local sides Sportul Studentesc and Regal Sport Bucuresti before he made the move to Italy in 2018 to join Juventus.

Internationally, after progressing through Romania’s youth ranks, the 21-year-old received his first call-up for the senior side in March, 2022, and made his debut that same month in a friendly clash with Gus Poyet’s Greece, playing alongside Vlad Chiriches at the heart of defence. He has earned 13 caps to date.
