AFCON AFCON 2023: Gasset Confirms Haller Availability For Last Group Game

Ivory Coast aim to start both Simon Adingra and Sebastien Haller in their last group AFCON 2023 encounter against Equatorial Guinea on Monday.

Coach Jean-Louis Gasset declared both players healthy after they missed the first two games.

The only reason Borussia Dortmund striker Haller has been absent from the competition is because of a clumsy Ivorian attack.

Nigeria defeated the hosts after the hosts opened with a comfortable victory over Guinea Bissau.

Adingra missed the first two meetings as well, and he has been dealing with an ankle issue.

However, both are expected to play in the final Group A match in Abidjan against Equatorial Guinea.

“We know that if we win, we are qualified and that is important.

Haller will be in the group. Everyone is talking about Haller.

I would like to add Simon Adingra. Both will be in the group.

We will have to be efficient and score quickly,” said Gasset.
