AFCON AFCON 2023: Ilaix, Conte Leave Guinea Camp After Injury

The football federation of Guinea announced on Tuesday that midfielder Ilaix Moriba and forward Facinet Conte had been released from their Africa Cup of Nations duties.

This allowed them to return to their European clubs and obtain injury treatment.

Both players missed Guinea’s 1-0 victory over Equatorial Guinea on Sunday, which guaranteed them a quarterfinal matchup with the Democratic Republic of Congo on Friday.

Abdoulaye Toure was also missing from the match.
